This is a new-construction house that we built, own, and manage ourselves. The company that built the home is the same one that answers when you call.

The home: 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 1,450 square feet across two stories. Living and kitchen are downstairs, all three bedrooms and two baths are upstairs. Tile runs throughout, so there is no carpet anywhere. It is a freestanding house with its own front door and its own private yard, not a unit in a building, so you share no walls with anyone.

The kitchen has stainless appliances, a dishwasher and a refrigerator. The AC is high-efficiency and the house is well insulated, so summer bills run below an older San Antonio rental of this size.

Parking is your own driveway, plus street parking out front. The laundry area has washer and dryer hookups, so you bring your own machines.

Pets are welcome with no breed list and no weight cap. Pet rent is a flat $50 a month per pet, with no pet deposit and no non-refundable pet fee.

Location: 78203, in the Denver Heights area. About 10 minutes to downtown, 8 to the River Walk, 7 to Southtown and 5 to the Mission Trails.

How we screen: there is no minimum credit score. The owner reads every application, on verified income, verified rental history and the context behind the file.

Maintenance: we respond within 24 hours and resolve most issues within 72.
